Story
The Bookworm invades Robin’s speech about donating money to
The Gotham City Library and takes the checkbook with him. As Batman and Robin
prepare to go after him, Bookworm discovers a book that has every known history
of Batman. So will he ever find out Batman’s secret identity?
The Good
It’s another dubbed down issue with the only good thing is
the art.
The Bad
I really don’t know what’s going on with this series. It’s
really going on a downhill. Once again, boring dialogue, no action, no jokes or
digital features. The Bookworm seems to be another uninteresting villain too. I
also don’t understand Batman and Robin’s love for playing celebrity; shouldn’t
it be blandly obvious they are Dick and Bruce? And why would Batman have a book
lying around in the library that can reveal his identity?
Verdict
I gave this issue a 2/3 out 5/10 stars. This series is
lately becoming a big disappointment. I don’t know what’s really happening
here. We had a good issue last time. But now it’s back to being a Debbie
downer. And what is it with no digital features again? Has the quality really
gone down? If you don’t like Bookworm then I suggest you skip this one and the
next one. You definitely won’t miss much.
